Wellesley Cross Country and Track & Field Announces the Hiring of Diana Bianco Riley

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Phil Jennings, Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach, and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice at Wellesley College has announced the hiring of Diana Bianco Riley as Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field-Throws Coach.

Prior to joining Wellesley, Riley was a Four-year member of the track & field team at Gettysburg College from 2017-2021. She served as the team captain for two years of a team with over 70 members. As captain, Riley was responsible for leading workouts, creating team bonding activities, and organizing fundraising activities.

During her time at Gettysburg College, Riley was the House Leader for the Office of Residential Life & First Year Programs. For two years, Riley was an Orientation Leader and a member of the College Life Advisory Committee. She also served as a Search Committee Member for the LGBTQ+ Life Search Committee.

Originally from Seekonk, Massachusetts, Riley graduated from Gettysburg College in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Civil War Era Studies, Middle Eastern Islamic Studies, and Peace and Justice Studies.
