Morakis, Gonzalez Named NEWMAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Honorees

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2022 Winter All-Sportsmanship selection with two Blue members earning the honor. 

Wellesley Recipients:

  • Women's Basketball: Valentina Morakis '22 (Long Island, N.Y.)

  • Women's Swimming & Diving: Paulina Gonzalez '22 (Caracas, Venezuela)

The All-Sportsmanship Team award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. In total, 35 NEWMAC student athletes earned the honor.
