Five Named to NEWMAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team

WESTWOOD, Mass. – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has revealed the 2022 Spring All-Sportsmanship Team with five Wellesley student-athletes earning the honor.

Wellesley Recipients:

Crew: Alison Sickles '23 (Keyport, N.J.)
Track & Field: Arianna Sablad '22 (Colorado Spring, Colo.)
Softball: Marisa Hensch '22 (Carlsbad, Calif.)
Tennis: Libby Chang '22 (San Marino, Calif.)
Lacrosse: Cassia Schuler '22 (Portland, Ore.)

The All-Sportsmanship Team award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport that best demonstrates the ideals of the NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct, regardless of their overall performance or statistics for the season. In total, 73 student-athletes were honored.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference consists of 11 highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Emerson College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, Wellesley College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
