The Wellesley Athletics Hall of Fame celebrates the spirit and achievements of Wellesley scholar-athletes and those who have inspired and supported them. Athletics Hall of Fame members exemplify the College’s longstanding conviction that varsity athletics play an important role in the development of leadership abilities, the cultivation of character and discipline, and the resolve to strive for excellence in every aspect of life.

LINDA K. VAUGHAN AWARD FOR EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE | CLICK HERE TO NOMINATE FOR THE LINDA K. VAUGHAN AWARD

Established in 1989 as the Friends of Wellesley Athletics Exceptional Service Award, and renamed in 2010 to honor Linda K. Vaughan, this award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated relentless passion in support of Wellesley’s accomplishments in recreational and competitive athletics and who has shown the team spirit, creativity, courage and leadership that exemplify Linda Vaughan’s belief that the way we play the game and the way we live our lives is more important than the final score (Last Recipient, 2015: Ann S. Batchelder, PERA Faculty Emerita).

FRIENDS OF ATHLETICS HONOR AWARD | CLICK HERE TO NOMINATE FOR THE HONOR AWARD

Given to those individuals who have rendered outstanding service and support to Sports and Recretion at Wellesley College (Last Recipients, 2015: Tina Furdon, PERA Staff, & George Reebe, Head of Wellesley College Motor Pool).

FIVE-YEAR SERVICE RECOGNITION

This award is given to coaches, trainers, staff and athletic administrators who have contributed to the intercollegiate athletic program for five years.

FOUR-YEAR VARSITY STUDENT-ATHLETE RECOGNITION

This award is given to varsity student-athletes who participated on a given Wellesley team for all four years, including all competitive seasons. Each senior class is recognized at the annual Senior Breakfast prior to Commencement.
