Follow Wellesley Field Hockey in Holland!
WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The Wellesley field hockey team recently kicked-off a trip to Holland and Belgium. The Blue are beginning a week-long tour, visiting Brussels, Bruges, Amsterdam, and the Hague.
Wellesley will play matches against three teams, Voordam MA1, Naarden D1, and MHC Rapide MA1. The Blue will also participate in hosting a pair of clinics while on their trip.
Wellesley players and coaches will have the opportunity to watch several games of the 2014 Field Hockey World Cup, hosted at the Hague. The Blue will attend the men's semifinals, and the women's finals of the event, which runs through June 15th.
Team members traveling include recent graduate, Kaitlyn Kirkaldy; rising seniors, Alex Azzi, Nathalie Gruet, Becky Hamilton, Lallie Lukens, Dana Marks, and Meghan Peterson; rising juniors Catherine Anderson, Hannah Flesch, Caroline Guild, and Anissa Sridhar; and rising sophomores Hannah Brewster, Mary Lemay, Lucy Hurlock, Courtney Peterson, Nikki Sharkin, and Neha Vellanki.
Also traveling with the team are Head Coach Julia King, Assistant Coach Callie Lekas, Goalie Coach Emileigh Mercer, and Athletic Trainer Jenae Van Orden.
