Field Hockey Lands Five on NFHCA National Academic Squad

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College field hockey has placed five student-athletes on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Academic Squad.

Seniors Alex Azzi (Rye, N.H.), Becky Hamilton (New York, N.Y.) and Nathalie Gruet (Acton, Mass.), and juniors Hannah Flesch (Rockville, Md.) and Caroline Guild (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) all earned a place on the squad. Both Azzi and Hamilton were four-year recipients of the academic honor. 

The National Academic Squad recognizes those student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.  

In addition, Wellesley College also earned NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award honors, finishing the season with a collective GPA of higher than 3.0 as a program.
