Blue Field Hockey's Flesch Named NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College field hockey senior Hannah Flesch (Rockville, Md.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending September 27, 2015.

Flesch scored two goals in two games this week, and both were game-winners. She broke a 1-1 tie at 30:36 of the first half, putting the the Blue up for good as they defeated Conn. College 3-1 on Thursday evening. On Saturday, Flesch scored with just over five minutes remaining in the second overtime to lift the ninth-ranked Blue to a 2-1 NEWMAC victory at Mount Holyoke.

Flesch and the Blue will host a pair of matches this week. On Tuesday, Wellesley hosts Saint Joesph's (Maine). The Blue then welcome No. 2 Bowdoin to the turf for a match-up of top-ten teams on Thursday. Both games will start at 4:00 PM.
