Wellesley's Lenart Earns NEWMAC Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week Honors
WESTWOOD, Mass. -- Wellesley College junior Alex Lenart (Princeton Junction, N.J.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 18, 2022
Lenart helped propel Wellesley to a pair of wins with four goals and 11 shots on goal this past week. Against Worcester State, Lenart got Wellesley on the board and helped pace the Blue to a 3-2 win. Then on Saturday, Lenart recorded her second career hat trick registering eight total shots on goal in a 5-1 NEWMAC win over Clark. Lenart had the game-winning goal in both games last week for the Blue.
Wellesley will host Bowdoin at Butler Stadium in its next contest on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.
