NEWMAC Women’s Crew and Softball Regular Season and Championship Updates

BOSTON, Mass. -- On April 7, the NEWMAC Directors made changes to the regular season and championship dates for baseball and softball and to postpone the women's crew championship. A summary of changes are below. The regular season and championship dates for Men's and Women's Lacrosse, Men's Tennis and Men's and Women's Track and Field will proceed as scheduled. 

Women's Crew: Due to current conditions on Lake Quinsigamond, the NEWMAC Women's Crew Championship is moved to April 25. 

Softball: The regular season will end on April 26 with day one of the NEWMAC Softball Championship beginning on April 28. The rest of the tournament information is below:

Day One – Tuesday April 28 at #1 and #2 seeds:

Game 1 - #5 Seed vs. #4 Seed – 2:30 p.m. (at #1 seed)

Game 2 - #6 Seed vs. #3 Seed – 2:30 p.m. (at #2 seed)

Game 3 – Winner of Game 1 vs. #1 Seed – 4:30 p.m. (at #1 seed)

Game 4 – Winner of Game 2 vs. #2 Seed – 4:30 p.m. (at #2 seed)

Day Two – Saturday, May 2nd at highest seed:

Game 5 – Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 4 – 10 a.m.

Game 6 – Loser of Game 2 vs. Loser of Game 5 – 12 p.m.

Game 7 – Winner of Game 3 vs. Winner of Game 4 – 2 p.m. 

Game 8 – Winner of Game 5 vs. Winner of Game 6 – 4 p.m 

Day Three – Sunday, May 3 at highest remaining seed: 

Game 9 – Loser of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 8 – 10 a.m.

Game 10 – Winner of Game 7 vs. Winner of Game 9 – 12 p.m. 

Game 11 – If Necessary Game – 2 p.m.
