The Blue collected seven hits in game one, none bigger than Pisac's fifth inning grand slam that allowed the Wellesley senior to surpass Megan Wood '10 to become the program's all-time leader in home runs with 18.

Both Pisac and first year Sequoia Johnson (Westport, Mass.) finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate, with Pisac's four RBIs leading the Blue. Juniors Julia Warner (Kenmore, Wash.) and Amanda Manning (Chico, Calif.) each scored a pair of runs for the Blue, while senior Ashtyn Coleman (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and sophomore Sydney Hopper (Newcastle, Wash.) each smashed triples. In the circle, junior Madeline Bianchi (Lakeville, Minn.) went five innings, surrendering no earned runs and striking out eight to pick-up her first win of the year (1-1).

Pisac's grand slam came as part of a seven-run fifth inning, as the Blue added three more runs following her strike. Wellesley broke open a close contest in the inning, with the Blue only holding a 2-1 lead following a first inning that saw the Beavers score first.

UMF junior Kiana Thompson (Industry, Maine) collected an RBI single in the first, staking the Beavers to the early lead, but the Blue responded with two in the second, as Coleman scored following an RBI triple that brought Warner around to score. Wellesley's seven run rally allowed the Blue to close out game one in five innings thanks to their eight run lead.

The advantage was short lived, as Farmington scored two in the bottom half of the inning to again grab a first inning lead. Sophomore Elizabeth Walker (Falmouth, Maine) tripled to drive home a run and then scored on a passed ball. The Blue took the lead back in the top of the second, scoring four runs thanks to a an RBI single from Johnson,  a two RBI single from Manning, and an RBI single from Pisac. Leading 5-2, the Blue got two in the third, with Johnson driving in her second RBI with a groundout and Manning adding her third with another single.

A Sydney Hopper single in the top of the fourth stretched the Wellesley lead to 8-2, but the Beavers cut the deficit to 8-4 in the bottom of the inning. Junior Margaret Fogarty (Auburn, Maine) started the rally with an RBI double and first year Amber Grady (Whitefield, Maine) added the second run with an RBI infield single. UMF first year Anastasia Albright (Farmington, Maine) pitched five innings and dropped to 0-2 on the year.

Wellesley then closed out the game by scoring three in the fifth and two in sixth, winning in six innings due to the eight run rule. Coleman, Pisac and first year Autumn Brown (Marshfield, Mass.) all had RBIs in the fifth, while Manning and Warner drove in runs in the fifth.
