Wellesley College softball player, Alyssa Hana (La Mirada, Calif.), is the 2018-19 NCAA Division III statistical champion for Sacrifice Hits Per Game.

Wellesley College softball sophomore Gen Brittingham (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) has been named a 2019 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-American.

As a first team selection, Brittingham (right) is now eligible for All-America honors (Frank Poulin).

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced its 2019 Softball All-Region honors on Wednesday evening and Wellesley College sophomore Gen Brittingham (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) and first year Marisa Hensch (Carlsbad, Calif.) have each each been named to the New England All-Region team for the first time in their respective careers. Brittingham was named to the All-Region First Team, while Hensch was named an All-Region Second Team selection.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2019 Softball All-Conference and Postseason awards on Tuesday and Wellesley College sophomore Gen Brittingham (Aliso Viejo, Calif.) and first year Marisa Hensch (Carlsbad, Calif.) have each earned All-Conference honors.

A walk-off single off the bat of WPI sophomore Kaitlyn Hess (Milford, NH) propelled No. 1 WPI to a 3-2 victory over No. 6 Wellesley College softball on Saturday at the 2019 New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Championship at Rooftop Field.

No. 6 Wellesley College softball avoided elimination with a pair of victories on Friday at the 2019 New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Softball Championship at WPI’s Rooftop Field. The Blue eliminated No. 5 Emerson College with a 6-0 victory in six innings in the morning and No. 3 Babson College with a 5-4 win in nine innings in the afternoon.

Kendall Smith finished the game 3-for-4 with two runs scored (Frank Poulin).

No. 3 Babson College topped No. 6 Wellesley College softball, 4-2, in Game #2 of the 2019 NEWMAC Softball Championship on Wednesday afternoon at Briggs Field on the campus of MIT.

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) released the seeds for the 2019 NEWMAC Softball Championship on Thursday evening. No. 6 Wellesley college will face No. 3 Babson on day one of the tournament, Wednesday, May 1, at 2:30 PM at MIT's Briggs Field.

Wellesley College softball swept the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in a New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon. The Blue earned a 6-0 win in game one and an 11-4 win in game two.

Paced by a pair of three-run home runs, Wellesley College softball swept Clark University in a New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at O’Brien Field. The Blue earned a 7-5 win in game one and a 5-4 victory in game two.

WPI scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning of game two to complete a two-game sweep of Wellesley College softball in a New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader on Friday at Rooftop Field. The Engineers took game one, 7-1, and game two, 5-4. 

First year Hayley Moniz was 2-for-3 at the plate and pitched 5.1 innings versus Emerson (Frank Poulin).

Springfield College took both games of a New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader over Wellesley College softball on Wednesday at the Wellesley Fields Complex. The Pride topped the Blue, 8-7, in ten innings in game one and earned a 5-3 victory in game two.
