Alex Berman '16 Named Assistant Basketball Coach at Mount Ida College

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Recent Wellesley College basketball graduate Alex Berman '16 has been named an assistant basketball coach at nearby Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass. 

A four-year member of the Blue basketball program, Berman appeared in 64 career games for the Blue. She graduated from Wellesley this spring with a degree in History and a minor in Education Studies.

"I am so grateful to my teammates and the staff of Wellesley's athletic department for all of their support over my four years," said Berman. "Wellesley has taught me so much and I'll always carry my experience with me." 

While at Wellesley, Berman was a part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, while also working as an Athletic Training aid and as a photographer in the Sports Information office. She received the Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics department's Director's Award in Sports Information in 2015.

"I am excited to start a new basketball chapter at Mount Ida College and I'm very thankful to [Mount Ida Head Coach Katie Greene] for this opportunity."
