Seniors Caitlin Aguirre (Basketball) and Frances Dingivan (Crew) have been named the 2019-20 Wellesley College Athletics Awards co-recipients of the Barbara Barnes Hauptfuhrer '49 Scholar-Athlete Award. They are the first co-recipients of the honor since 2002.

The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the 2019-2020 Women's Basketball Postseason Awards on Wednesday and Wellesley College Head Coach Jennifer Kroll has been named the conference's 2019-20 Coach of the Year. In addition, senior Kendall You Mak (San Francisco, Calif.) has been named the NEWMAC Defensive Player of the Year and senior Caitlin Aguirre (El Paso, Texas) has been named to the All-Conference First Team.

Wellesley College basketball (6-4 NEWMAC) finished as the fifth seed and will play at fouth-seeded MIT on Wednesday, February 26th at 7:00 PM in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals.

This year's event will include Wellesley's second annual sports clinic for girls athletes from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
