Al Berger is in his fifth year as a member of the Wellesley basketball coaching staff.

Berger came to Wellesley after serving as an Assistant Coach and Athletic Department Intern at Lasell College in Newton, MA. Prior to coaching at Lasell, Berger served as the Assistant Varsity/Head JV coach for the Hopkinton High School (MA) girls basketball program for three seasons.  He helped the Hillers JV program to a 42-12 record and the varsity team to three state tournament appearances. 

Coach Berger earned his Master’s degree in Sports Administration from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY and earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from Framingham State University in 2005.
