Nine from Blue Crew Named CRCA Scholar Athletes

The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) has announced its 2020 Scholar Athlete awards for the 2020 season and nine members of the Wellesley College crew team have been recognized for their academic achievement in 2019-2020.

Wellesley College crew seniors Frances Dingivan (Salt Lake City, Utah), Sooji Kang (Columbus, Ohio), and Rhiannon Mulligan (Santa Cruz, Calif.) have each been named 2020 Pocock All-America Nominees by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA).

Seniors Caitlin Aguirre (Basketball) and Frances Dingivan (Crew) have been named the 2019-20 Wellesley College Athletics Awards co-recipients of the Barbara Barnes Hauptfuhrer '49 Scholar-Athlete Award. They are the first co-recipients of the honor since 2002.

On March 13, a difficult decision was made to cancel the 2020 spring seasons for six Wellesley Athletics programs. Along with the cancellation of contests, practices and team events, the seniors in the Class of 2020 will miss the opportunity to celebrate Senior Day with their family, friends, coaches and teammates. Today we recognize Wellesley crew and we hope you will join us in celebrating the spring student-athletes in the Class of 2020. Thank you, Seniors.

 The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2020 Rowing Academic All-Conference Team. A total of 99 student-athletes were honored, including nine from the Wellesley College crew team.

The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has revealed the 2020 Spring All-Sportsmanship honorees and five Wellesley College student-athletes have been recognized among the conference's spring selections.

Following a program-best second place finish this fall at the 55th Head Of The Charles Regatta, Wellesley College crew will enter the 2020 season ranked second in the nation according to the Pocock/CRCA Division III Preseason Coaches Poll, presented by USRowing.

The Wellesley College crew Varsity Eight took runner-up honors in the Collegiate Women's Eights at the 55th Head Of The Charles Regatta (HOCR) on Sunday, October 20, on the Charles River in Boston. The second place finish was the best in program history.

Blue Crew Varsity 8+ Takes Tenth at Head of the Housatonic

Wellesley College crew opened the team's 2019-20 campaign on Saturday at the annual Head of the Housatonic on the Housatonic River. The Blue competed in three events, highlighted by a tenth place finish in the Division I Collegiate Women's 8+.
