Wellesley Fencing Ranked Sixth in USFCA Coaches Poll

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) has released its latest Coaches Poll with Wellesley College ranked sixth in the Division III Poll. 

The Blue have played in five different events so far and have an overall record of 20-12. At the Vassar Invitational, Wellesley finished with a perfect 8-0 record including a 14-13 win over Long Island University. The Blue also performed well at the NFC Conference Meet No. 1, with a tight 14-13 win over #5 ranked MIT. Wellesley followed up with a dominate 21-6 win over #3 Brandeis, including four different players earning a perfect record.

Wellesley will next compete after the holiday break at the University of California San Diego on Thursday, January 20.
