Wellesley Falls to Division-II Merrimack

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Visiting Merrimack College topped the Wellesley College golf team, 367-322, in a dual match on Saturday at the par-72, 5,860-yard Nehoiden Golf Course on the campus of Wellesley College.

Merrimack, a Division-II program, took five out of the top six placings on the day. Merrimack first-year Alessandra Ricigliano led all golfers with a score of 75. Ricigliano was followed by Merrimack's Ali Reed and Jessica Wagner, who shot a 79 and 80 respectively.  Wellesley College was led by junior Lei Wei who carded an 83.

Jaclyn Drew (88) and Bethany Arnold (90) rounded out the scores for Merrimack.

For Wellesley, first-year Maya Muldowney (91) and senior Haneen Anbarserri (96) picked up the seventh and eighth place finishes. Sophomore Jacqueline Lu (97) wrapped up the scoring for the Blue.

The Wellesley golf team is back in action next weekend at the NYU Invitational. The event will kick off at 11:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY.
