Wellesley Athletics Releases 2016 Fall Schedules

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College Athletics Fall 2016 schedules, including crew, cross country, field hockey, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball, are now available on wellesleyblue.com! The 2016-17 season officially gets underway on Thursday, September 1, 2016 when Blue tennis welcomes Division II Stonehill University to campus at 5:00 PM. Blue soccer will play their first match under the guidance of new head coach Missy Price later in the day when they travel to Simmons at 7:00 PM.

Volleyball opens the year on Friday night, September 2 vs. Plymouth St. at the Brandeis Invitational. Cross Country (at the Roger Williams Invitational) and Field Hockey (at Saint Joseph's Me.) will get the season started on Saturday, September 3, while golf is set to follow with a preseason match at Nehoiden G.C. the next weekend, Saturday, September 10. Defending national champion Wellesley crew will be the final team to compete in the fall when they open the year on Saturday, October 8, at the Head of the Housatonic Regatta in Shelton, Conn.
