MacVicar Repeats as Liberty League Golf Rookie of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College golf first year Ryan MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) has been named the Liberty League Women's Golf Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 2, 2016. This is the second consecutive week she has earned the award.

MacVicar tied for 13th overall at this weekend's Williams Fall Classic to help lead the Blue to a ninth place finish in the 17-team field. After opening with an 82 on Saturday, MacVicar dropped five strokes on Sunday, shooting a 77. Her 159 weekend total was the best on the Blue, helping Wellesley to finish as the second highest Liberty League school in the tournament standings.

MacVicar and the Blue will play their final event of the fall in two weeks on Saturday, October 15 at Johnson & Wales.
