Wellesley Golf Sits in 8th Place After Day One of MHC Invitational

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College golf combined for a score of 336 and currently sits in 8th place in the team standings following day one of the Mount Holyoke College Invitational on Saturday at the par 72, 6,575 yard Orchards Golf Club. 

NYU (305) leads Williams (307) by two strokes at the top of the team standings, while NYU first year Ashley Lung (Henderson, Nev.) and Williams junior Cordelia Chan (Windsor, Ontario) are tied atop the individual leader board with scores of 74.

Wellesley sophomores Ryan MacVicar (Tuscalossa, Ala.) and Kalau Tanaka-Pesamino (Ewa Beach, Hawai'i) carded matching rounds of 82 (T-22) to lead the Blue. Senior Maya Muldowney (Waunakee, Wis.) and sophomore Isabelle Chun (Palo Alto, Calif.) also had matching scores for Wellesley, finishing with rounds of 86 (T-39). 

Also on the course for the Blue, first years Rosey Li (Princeton, N.J.) and Abby Zhong (Mercer Island, Wash.) added rounds of 88 and 99, respectively. Li is tied for 47th, while Zhong is 75th. 

Final round play at The Orchards begins tomorrow, September 24, at 8:30 AM.
