Wellesley Golf Caps Fall Season With Victory Over Holy Cross

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College golf closed out the 2017 fall season with a victory over Division I Holy Cross, as the Blue defeated the Crusaders, 330-334, at Wellesley's Par 72, 5,860 yard Nehoiden Golf Course.

Wellesley sophomore Ryan MacVicar (Tuscalossa, Ala.) led the field in today's head-to-head match-up between the two schools. MacVicar finished with the low round of 76, one stroke ahead of Holy Cross' Maxine Harney. Blue first year Rosey Li (Princeton, N.J.) fired a round of 81, while sophomore Kalau Tanaka-Pesamino (Ewa Beach, Hawai'i) was one stroke behind Li with an 82.

Sophomore Olivia de Cuba (Bilthoven, Netherlands) added a round of 86 for the Blue, while classmate Naomi Kim (Troy, Mich.) carded an 87 and first year Abby Zhong (Mercer Island, Wash.) and junior Annika Vandayar (Garnet Valley, Pa.) added matching rounds of 90.

Rounding out the scores for the Blue, sophomore Isabelle Chun (Palo Alto, Calif.) and senior Maya Muldowney (Waunakee, Wis.) each finished with scores of 91 and first year Devyani Kalra (Short Hills, N.J.) totaled a 94.

Today's action concludes a fall season that included a fourth place finish at the Ann S. Batchelder Invitational, a seventh place finish at the Mount Holyoke Invitational and a 6th place finish at the Williams Invitational for the Blue golf team.
