Wellesley Golf In Fifth After First Round Action at Williams Fall Invite

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- First year Chansie Yang (Laguna Niguel, Calif.) carded an opening round 78 and Wellesley College golf is in fifth place in the team standings after first round play at the Williams Fall Invitational at the par-71 6,640 yard Taconic Golf Club.

Yang is in a tie for fourth (+7) and the Blue have a total score of 329. Host Williams (315) leads the field, with NYU (319) just four strokes back.

First year Carmen Chan (Birmingham, Mich.) is in a tie for ninth following an opening round 80 (+9). Classmate Ella Warburg (Mercer Island, Wash.) added an 82 (+11) and is currently tied for 20th, while junior Ryan MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) is one stroke back after shooting an 83 (+12) on Saturday. First year Aine Kenwood (Potomac, Md.) rounded out the Blue team score with an 86 (+15) and is tied for 33rd.
