Blue Golf in Fourth After Day One of Vassar Invitational

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Wellesley College golf team stands in fourth place after day one of the Vassar College Invitational at Casperkill Golf Club on Saturday.

Amherst College stands in solo first after a team score of 303 (+15) after day one. NYU follows in second at 307 (+19) and Williams is in third at 310 (+22). The fourth place Blue shot a team score of 318 (+30).

Sophomore Emma Lim (Naperville, Ill.) paced the Blue with a round of 76 (+4) and is in tie for sixth place on the individual leaderboard. Senior Aine Kenwood (Potomac, Md.) fired an 80 and finished 1-under on par three scoring for the Blue.

Junior Caroline MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) and senior Ella Warburg (Mercer Island, Wash.) each shot a first round 81 and stand in a tie for 23rd overall. Junior Kate MacVicar (Tuscaloosa, Ala.) was just one shot behind with an 81. Rounding out the scoring was sophomore Muzi Fang (Beijing, China) with a score of 89.

This Blue tee off tomorrow morning at 8:00 AM to complete round two of the Vassar College Invitational.
