No. 6 Wellesley To Play No. 3 Wheaton In NEWMAC Lacrosse Quarterfinals

2017 NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Championship Bracket

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced the seeds for the 2017 Women's Lacrosse Championship on Wednesday evening and No. 6 Wellesley College lacrosse will play at No. 3 Wheaton College in the NEWMAC Quarterfinals on Saturday, April 29, at 1:00 PM.

Undefeated (8-0) Springfield has been tabbed as the No. 1 seed with their regular season title. Finishing this evening at 7-1 in NEWMAC play, Babson claimed the No. 2 Seed and has earned an automatic place in the semifinal round where they will play the winner of the quarterfinal match between No. 3 Wheaton (6-2) and No. 6 Wellesley (4-4). The second quarterfinal match between No. 4 Emerson (4-4) and No. 5 MIT (4-4) will face top seeded Springfield in the semifinal round.
