Wellesley Lacrosse Welcomes Maddie Driscoll As Assistant Coach

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Lauren Schoenberger, Head Lacrosse Coach and PERA Assistant Professor of the Practice at Wellesley College, has announced the hiring of Maddie Driscoll as Assistant Lacrosse Coach for the 2019 season. 

A 2017 graduate of Fitchburg State University with a degree in Professional Writing and a minor in Special Education, Driscoll was a three-year member of the Falcon lacrosse team. She earned IWLCA/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honors as a senior in 2017 and was twice named Fitchburg's Defender of the Year (2015, 2016). Prior to her collegiate playing days, she helped Pinkerton Academy (N.H.) to state championships in both field hockey and lacrosse. 

Driscoll spent the fall of 2017 as an Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Newbury College and continues to coach for the New Hampshire Tomahawks lacrosse club in her native New Hampshire. A third degree black belt who was an Assistant Karate Instructor from 2004-2011 at Time Barchard's Professional Martial Arts Academy in Derry, N.H., Driscoll is also a Level 2 High School/You Lacrosse Official who has been working as an official since 2011. 

Wellesley opens the the 2019 season on Saturday, March 2 at 12:00 PM when the Blue travel to take on local rival Framingham St. Click here to view the team's full 2019 slate of games on wellesleyblue.com.
