Wellesley Lacrosse Releases 2020 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College lacrosse and Head Coach Lauren Schoenberger have announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2020 season.

The Blue will play the first of eight home games at Butler Stadium when the season begins on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 with a 4:00 PM match-up against local rival Framingham St. Wellesley will host Wentworth the following week (March 4) before hitting the road for the first time in 2020 with a weekend trip to Utica, N.Y. for games against Utica (March 7) and Albright (March 8). Wellesley will then break for ten days, returning for a non-conference clash with Curry (March 18) and the team's New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) opener on Saturday, March 21 at Babson. March concludes with home contests against Bridgewater St. (March 25) and Smith (March 28).

Wellesley will play eight games in April, beginning with a non-conference home date against Southern Maine (April 1). The NEWMAC schedule takes over for the rest of the month, with home games scheduled against Wheaton (April 8), Mount Holyoke (April 11), and Emerson (April 22). The Blue will take on MIT (April 4), Coast Guard (April 15), Springfield (April 18), and Clark (April 25) on the road. Wellesley's home contest with Seven Sisters rival Mount Holyoke on Saturday, April 11 will include the Senior Day Ceremony prior to the 12:00 PM start. The 2020 NEWMAC Championship tournament will commence at the end of the month, with quarterfinal action taking place on Wednesday, April 29.
