Wellesley's Reckley Earns NEWMAC Soccer Defensive Athlete of the Week Honors

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College soccer junior Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mich.) has been named New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Soccer Defensive Athletes of the Week for the week ending October 21, 2018. This is the second time Reckley has earned the honor in her career.

Reckley posted back-to-back shutouts in two NEWMAC games last week, leading the Blue to a 1-0-1 record. Reckley made seven saves in a 1-0 win over Clark on Tuesday before recording a career-high 12 saves in a 0-0 (2OT) tie with WPI on Saturday. The Blue were outshot 21-9, 12-5 in shots on goal, on Saturday as Reckley helped preserve the result with her effort in goal by making five of her 12 saves during overtime.

Reckley and the Blue host Babson tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 PM in the team's regular season finale.
