Wellesley College soccer senior Krista Dong (West Orange, N.J.), track & field senior Crystalina Guo (Montgomery, N.J.) and track & field juniors Abigail Parakoyi (Houston, Texas) and Shania Baldwin (Houston, Texas) have each been named recipients of 2020 Wellesley College Camellia Student Leadership Awards.

I think it's strange to be writing a speech knowing that it will be published instead of read, but this unprecedented time is full of strange and different things. Time alone, time with family, and time on Zoom (ha. ha.) has given me space to reflect upon my almost four years at Wellesley––specifically my time within Wellesley Athletics and how the student-athlete experience has intimately shaped both my college experience and my character.

The New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) has announced the 2019 Women's Soccer Academic All-Conference Team. A total of xx student-athletes were honored, including three from the Wellesley College soccer team.

Thea Feldgoise tied the game with a penalty kick goal in the 49th minute (Macy Lipkin '23).
Wellesley Soccer Drops Season Finale at Babson, 3-1

First year Thea Feldgoise (Brookline, Mass.) netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season but Wellesley College soccer dropped a 3-1 final to New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Babson College on Tuesday afternoon at Hartwell-Rogers Field.

Olivia Reckley made a career-high 16 saves for Wellesley (Julia Monaco).

Senior Olivia Reckley (Grosse Ile, Mass.) made a career-high 16 saves and classmate Deyanira Ibarra (Los Olivos, Calif.) scored her third goal of the season as Wellesley College soccer played to a 1-1 tie with WPI on Saturday morning at Alumni Stadium. 

Julia Jung and the Blue are now 4-11-0 overall (Macy Lipkin '23).
Wellesley Soccer Falls on the Road at Clark, 1-0

Clark sophomore Jamie Joseph (Cazenovia, N.Y.) scored the games only goal just before halftime as Clark University knocked off Wellesley College soccer, 1-0, in New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference on Tuesday evening.

Emerson Strikes Late to Down Wellesley Soccer, 1-0

Emerson College senior Veronica Alberts (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) scored the game’s only goal in the 71st minute to send the host Lions to a 1-0 victory over Wellesley College soccer in New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field. 

Kendall Lincoln made a career-high seven stops in the Wellesley goal (Frank Poulin).
Wellesley Soccer Falls to No. 10 MIT, 4-0

Sophomore Karina Groff (Weston, Mass.) tallied a goal and an assist to lead visiting MIT to a 4-0 shutout of Wellesley College soccer in New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play on Tuesday afternoon at the Wellesley Fields Complex.

Springfield College sophomore Kaleigh Dale (Mansfield, Conn.) scored a natural hat trick to lead the visiting Pride past Wellesley College soccer, 7-0, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) decision on Saturday afternoon at the Wellesley Fields Complex.

Wellesley College soccer rallied from a two-goal deficit but ultimately fell in overtime, 4-3, to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, in New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) on Saturday afternoon at Nitchman Field.

The Blue had a team GPA of 3.52 during the 2018-19 academic year (Miranda Yang).
Wellesley Named United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award Recipient

United Soccer Coaches announced on Thursday the Team Academic Award winners at the high school and collegiate levels to recognize exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year. A total of 989 college teams (345 men, 644 women), including the Wellesley College soccer team.  earned the Team Academic Award.

Wellesley College soccer scored four unanswered goals to rally from a 2-0 deficit and defeat Mount Holyoke College, 4-2, in New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday at the Wellesley Fields Complex.
