Wellesley Soccer Releases 2022 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College soccer and first year Head Coach Caitlin Pickul have released the 2022 soccer schedule. The schedule features 16 contests, 6 non-conference matches and ten New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) games.

Wellesley opens the regular season at home, welcoming Simmons for a 4:00 PM contest on Thursday, Sept. 1. The match-up with Simmons is the first of four non-conference contests to open the season. The Blue will hit the road to take on Endicott on Sept. 7 and Suffolk on Sept. 10. Wellesley returns home to host Lesley on Sept. 14 before turning its focus to NEWMAC play.

The NEWMAC season opens on Saturday, Sept. 17 when the Blue host Coast Guard. Wellesley will host five NEWMAC home games in 2022, as the conference celebrates its 25th year. Home NEWMAC opponents include: Coast Guard, Clark on Oct. 5, WPI on Oct. 8, Babson on Oct. 19 and Emerson on Oct. 22.

After hosting Coast Guard, Wellesley will play at Framingham St. on Sept. 21 before hitting the road for the first time in NEWMAC play with a contest at Springfield on Sept. 24. The Blue close out the non-conference portion of its schedule on Sept. 28 with a home game versus Curry.

NEWMAC play takes over as the calendar turns to October. The Blue will travel to Smith on Oct. 1 before playing host to Clark (Oct. 5) and WPI (Oct. 8). Wellesley will play at MIT on Oct. 11 before returning home the next week to host Babson (Oct. 19) and Emerson (Oct. 22). Back-to-back road games at Wheaton on Oct. 26 and Mount Holyoke on Oct. 29 close out the regular season. 

The 2022 NEWMAC Women's Soccer Championship will take place Nov. 1-5, 2022.
