CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- No. 22 Dickinson College swept to a 9-0 victory over No. 21 Wellesley College squash on Saturday morning at MIT's Zesiger Center squash courts.

The Red Devils earned a big win in the College Squash Association rankings to improve to 5-8 on the season. Wellesley is now 4-4 on the season following their fourth match in the last six days.

Wellesley only earned a victory in one game during Saturday's contest, as junior Haley Connor (Boston, Mass.) tied her match with Nicole DeLuca at one when she rallied for a 12-10 second game victory, after DeLuca opened with an 11-8 victory. Unfortunately, the No. 3 player in the Dickinson lineup earned 11-7 and 11-6 wins in the next two games versus Connor to take the victory.

Dickinson continued down the lineup to complete the sweep, with Hedvika Suchankova defeating senior Meera Nayar (Chicago, Ill.) at No. 1, Domenica Romo defeating first year Eva Mullarkey (Locust Valley, N.Y.) at No. 2 and Jamie-Leigh Edghill topping first year Eunbie Coe (Los Angeles, Calif.) at No. 4. The Red Devils also earned wins from Alanis Paris over senior Ruby Feng (Old Lyme, Conn.) at No. 5, by Abbie Wingerd over junior Meredith Curry (Medfield, Mass.) at No 6 and by Sarah Murphy versus sophomore Lumi Kinjo (Tokyo, Japan) at No. 7. Wins by Patricia Francis-Hall over first year Elena Ubeda (Natick, Mass.) at No. 8 and Merrit Davis versus junior Audrey Fok (Great Neck, N.Y.) at No. 9 capped the victory.

Wellesley returns to action next Saturday, January 28, with a pair of matches in Maine. The Blue will play Colby at 11:00 AM and Bates at 4:00 PM.
