Wellesley’s Nayar Falls in 1st Round of CSA Individual Championship

HANOVER, N.H. -- Wellesley College squash senior Meera Nayar (Chicago, Ill.) dropped a 3-0 final to Brown University junior Quincy Beck (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) in the Round of 16 at the 2017 College Individual Championships on Friday at Dartmouth College. 

Beck, Brown's No. 1, cruised to an 11-3, 11-6, 11-3, straight-set victory over Wellesley's No. 1 and will advance to face junior Hayley Hughes (Auckland, New Zealand) of Drexel University in the quarterfinals of the Holleran East Draw.

Nayar will face-off with her second-straight Ivy League opponent on Saturday, when she plays junior Janel Gaube (Victoria, Canada) of host Dartmouth in the Holleran East Consolation Quarterfinals at 9:45 AM.
