WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College swimming and diving's Maura Sticco-Ivins has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week for the period ending December 7.

This is the second consecutive week, and third time overall, that Sticco-Ivins has earned the NEWMAC Diver of the Week Award honor. She also earned the award on November 4th and 23rd.

Sticco-Ivins swept both the one and three meter competitions at this weekend's MIT Invitational. The first-year finished ahead of a second place finisher from Harvard in both events. Sticco-Ivins recorded a score of 264.70 in the one meter and 258.35 in the three meter competition.

Led by Sticco-Ivins, Wellesley grabbed two of the top four spots in the one meter and two of the top three in the three meter. Sophomore Maddie Stern took fourth with a score of 209.65 in one meter, while first year Emily Moore finished third in the three meter competition with a score of 234.10.

Wellesley swimming & diving will return to the pool on January 7, 2015 when the Blue host NEWMAC rivals Babson and Coast Guard.
