Sticco-Ivins Wins Second Consecutive ECAC Diver of the Week Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College swimming & diving first year Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named ECAC Division III New England Diver of the Week, for the week ending January 18, 2015.  

Sticco-Ivins delivered a record setting performance for the Blue at last weekend's Seven Sisters Championships and has now won back-to-back ECAC Diver of the Week Awards in addition to four consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week Awards.

She won both the 1-meter (11 dive) and the 3-meter (11 dive) competitions, setting Seven Sisters tournament records with her scores of 515.50 in the 1-meter and 512.80 in the 3-meter. Her score of 515.50 in Saturday's 1-meter also set a new Wellesley school record.

Sticco-Ivins and Wellesley swimming & diving return home to Chandler Pool on Saturday for a dual meet with Mount Holyoke at 1:00 PM.
