Sticco-Ivins Continues Run as NEWMAC Diver of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming and diving's Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week for the period ending January 25, 2015.

Sticco-Ivins has now earned the award six times this season, including the last five in-a-row. She was also named NEWMAC Diver of the Week on November 4th and 23rd, as well as on December 8th and January 11th and 18th. 

On Wednesday vs Tufts, Sticco-Ivins won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events, setting a new school record with her score of 310.30 in the 1-meter. She followed that by breaking both of her own school records in a dual meet victory over Mount Holyoke on Saturday, scoring 332.34 in the 1-meter and 329.10 in the 3-meter.

Wellesley swimming & diving will be back in action on Saturday at Chandler Pool. The Blue will take on Connecticut College and Bates beginning at 1:00 PM.
