Sticco-Ivins Garners ECAC Diver of the Week Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. — Wellesley College swimming & diving first year Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named ECAC Division III New England Diver of the Week, for the week ending January 25, 2015.  

A first year from Framingham, Mass., Sticco-Ivins continues to impress, now winning three consecutive regional diver of the week awards in addition to her run of five consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week Honors.

Sticco-Ivins won both the 1-meter and 3-meter events on Wednesday versus Tufts, setting a new school record with her score of 310.30 in the 1-meter. On Saturday, she then broke both of her own school records in a dual meet victory over Mount Holyoke on Saturday, scoring 332.34 in the 1-meter and 329.10 in the 3-meter.

Sticco-Ivins and Wellesley swimming & diving return home to Chandler Pool on Saturday, hosting Conn. College and Bates on Senior Day at 1:00 PM.
