Blue Swimming & Diving Takes Third in 800-Free Relay on Opening Night of 2015 NEWMAC Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. — Wellesley College Swimming & Diving raced to a third place finish in the 800-Free Relay on the opening night of the 2015 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Swimming & Diving Championships at WPI's Sports & Recreation Center pool.  

Juniors Charlotte Harris (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Dorothy Ren (San Jose, Calif.) and sophomores Hannah Augst (Richmond, Va.) and Leah Furman (Canonsburg, Pa.) combined for a time of 7:44.68, as the Wellesley 'A' team finished just two seconds behind WPI's time of 7:42.54. MIT won the event with a time of 7:32.30. 

Wellesley Swimming & Diving will continue the 2015 NEWMAC Championships tomorrow morning, beginning at 10:00 AM.
