Sticco-Ivins Wins 1-Meter Competition as Blue Divers Conclude Day One of NCAA Regionals

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving first year Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) broke both her own school record and the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) record on the 1-meter board, as she and teammates Gabby Cooper-Vespa (Orange, Conn.), Maddie Stern (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Emily Moore (Milwaukee, Wis.) competed on day one of the 2015 NCAA Division III Diving Regionals at Springfield College's Art Linkletter Natatorium.

Sticco-Ivins registered a score of 546.65 in the 11-dive 1-meter competition, shattering her previous mark of 515.50 set at this year's Seven Sisters Championships. 

The 2015 NEWMAC Diver of the Year led the way for the Blue as Moore, Cooper-Vespa and Stern finished 12th, 13th and 15th respectively in the field comprised of 28 divers from across New England. Moore recorded a score of 451.60, with Cooper-Vespa finishing just behind at 446.35 and Stern adding a mark of 442.00.
