Wellesley Diving Head Coach Zach Lichter Named CSCAA Coach of the Year

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College diving head coach Zach Lichter has been named the 2015 College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Women's Diving Coach of the Year. The CSCAA announced the award on Sunday following the conclusion of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships in Shenandoah, Texas.

In his first season at the helm of the Wellesley diving program, Lichter guided four divers to this year's NCAA Regional in Springfield, Mass. In addition to Maura Sticco-Ivins, the regional champion on both the 1 and 3-meter board, first year Emily Moore, sophomore Maddie Stern and senior Gabby Cooper-Vespa also qualified and competed on both boards. The Blue's four regional qualifiers were the most of any school in the region.

Sticco-Ivins then went on to capture the national championship on the 3-meter board while also earning national runner-up honors on the 1-meter board. The third national champion in Wellesley College history, Sticco-Ivins also earned All-America honors on both boards.
