Sticco-Ivins Earns NEWMAC Diver of the Week Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. – Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Week for the week ending November 22nd.

This is the third consecutive week that Sticco-Ivins has been awarded NEWMAC Diver of the Week honors. She also earned the award for the weeks ending November 8th and 15th.

The Wellesley sophomore broke her own school record and set a Trinity Natatorium pool record with a score of 329.30 on the 3-meter board to lead the Blue to a tri-meet sweep of Trinity and Hamilton on Saturday. She also won the 1-meter competition with a score of 269.85.

Sticco-Ivins and the Blue will close out the first semester at the MIT Winter Invitational, Friday-Sunday, December 4-6, at MIT's Alumni Pool.
