Sticco-Ivins Caps Regular Season With 4th ECAC Diver of the Week Award
WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the ECAC Division III New England Diver of the Week for the week ending January 31, 2016.The Framingham, Mass. native has now won the ECAC Regional award four times during the 2015-16 season.
Sticco-Ivins won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events in Wellesley's Saturday afternoon tri-meet versus Bates and Connecticut College. Sticco-Ivins recorded a score of 306.55 to take first place on the 1-meter board. She then captured the 3-meter competition with a score of 338.15.
The defending New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) 1 and 3-meter champion, Sticco-Ivins will look to defend her titles when Wellesley swimming & diving competes at the 2016 NEWMAC Swimming & Diving Championship, February 18-21, at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool. Wellesley finsihed third in the team standings at the 2015 NEWMAC Championship.
