Sticco-Ivins National Runner-Up, All-American in 3-Meter Diving at NCAAs

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving sophomore Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) scored 470.55 in the finals of Women's 3-Meter Diving to finish as the national runner-up and earn All-American honors on Saturday at the 2016 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Sticco-Ivins earns her third career All-American honor and her second in as many years on the 3-Meter board. The 2015 National Champion in the event, Sticco-Ivins finished 8.15 points behind Hope College senior Sarah Sheridan (Richmond, Indiana) in this year's competition. Sticco-Ivins was also an All-American in the 1-Meter in 2015.

Sticco-Ivins advanced to Saturday night's final after putting together a score of 469.55 earlier in the day in the 3-Meter Prelims. She was in first place entering Saturday night's final round. 

The 2015 and 2016 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Diver of the Year, Sticco-Ivins ends the 2015-16 season as the NEWMAC Champion on both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter boards.
