Wellesley's Sticco-Ivins Named NEWMAC Diver of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving senior Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week for the week ending November 12, 2017. She has now received the honor 18 times in her collegiate career. 

Sticco-Ivins won both the 1 and 3-meter competition during the Blue's Saturday dual meet at Simmons. Sticco-Ivins scored 295.85 on the 1-meter board, breaking her own pool record at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium. She then added a mark of 288.65 to win the 3-meter competition. Both scores were regional qualifying marks for Sticco-Ivins.

Wellesley College swimming & diving returns to action on Saturday, November 18, with a dual meet at Mount Holyoke College.
