Wellesley's Sticco-Ivins Claims 20th Career NEWMAC Diver of the Week Honor

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- For the 20th time in her Wellesley College career, swimming & diving senior Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Diver of the Week for the week ending January 21, 2018. 

Sticco-Ivins first claimed the honor as a first year on November 4, 2014 and has since gone on to win win multiple NCAA, Regional, NEWMAC, and Seven Sisters Championships for the Blue. Over the weekend, Sticco-Ivins capped an undefeated career at the Seven Sisters Championships, winning both the one and three-meter titles to lead the Blue to their record 21st consecutive Seven Sisters Championship. Sticco-Ivins tallied NCAA Regional qualifying marks in both events, scoring 510.95 (11 dives) to win the three-meter and 451.70 (11 dives) to claim the one-meter title.

Sticco-Ivins and the Blue will return to action next month at the NEWMAC Championships, February 22-25, at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool.
