Wellesley's Sticco-Ivins Takes 4th, Bergere 18th in 3-Meter at NCAA Diving Regionals

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Senior Maura Sticco-Ivins (Framingham, Mass.) took fourth place and first year Noelle Bergere (Madison, Conn.) added an 18th place finish while representing Wellesley College swimming & diving on the three-meter board at day one of the 2018 NCAA Division III Regional at Middlebury College. 

Sticco-Ivins, the defending NCAA Division III National Champion in both the one and three-meter events, scored 448.00 to finish 10.25 points back of first place Deborah Wen (Honolulu, Hawaii) of MIT. Making her first career NCAA Regional appearance, Bergere totaled 369.05 points from her 11-dive list to finish 18th out of 25 competitors.

The Blue duo will return to action tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 PM for competition in 1-meter diving. Live video for the event is available at www.nsnsports.net/colleges/middlebury/. Qualifiers for the 2018 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, March 21-24, 2018, at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana will be announced following Saturday's competition.
