Wellesley, Mass. -- The Wellesley College swimming & diving program has been named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America list for the Spring 2018 Semester. The CSCAA named 710 teams to its Scholar All-America list with the teams represent 476 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Wellesley carried a combined GPA of 3.25 during the spring semester.

In addition to the CSCAA honor, eight members of the Blue swimming & diving program received New England Women's & Men's Athletics Conference (NEWMAC) Academic All-Conference honors after earning GPAs of over 3.50 during the the 2017-18 season:

Success in the classroom and pool went hand-in-hand. On average, twenty-three of the top twenty-five top finishers in each of the NCAA Championships earned the award, with every NCAA title-winning team in all three divisions posting a GPA of 3.17 or higher. Nine teams finished among the top-ten nationally in both team GPA and at their respective national championships. Sticco-Ivins represented the Blue for the fourth consecutive year at the NCAA Championships, earning All-America honors in both one and three-meter diving. The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
