Wellesley Swimming & Diving Announces 2019-20 Schedule

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College swimming & diving and head coach Bonnie Dix have announced the team's schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 campaign.

The Blue will host four opponents at Chandler Pool in 2019-20, beginning with a season opening meet against New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Wheaton on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM. Following trips to Simmons (Nov. 9), Mount Holyoke (Nov. 23) and the MIT Invitational (Dec. 6-8), Wellesley returns home for the team's annual wintersession match-up with Babson and Coast Guard on Friday, January 10, 2020 at 1:00 PM.

A Seven Sisters meet with Smith College the next day, Saturday, November 11, closes out the home slate. The Blue will also take part in the new Seven Sisters Invitational on January 19 and 20 at Mount Holyoke. Wellesley will host diving on Friday, January 24, as part of the team's final regular season meet on Saturday, January 25, at Merrimack. 

In February, the team's focus will turn to the 2020 NEWMAC Championships at MIT's Zesiger Center Pool in Cambridge, Mass. The four-day event will begin on the evening of Thursday, February 20, and conclude on Sunday, February 23, 2020. Qualified divers will advance to the NCAA Division III Regionals (Feb. 28-29). The 2020 NCAA Division III Championships will take place March 18-21, at the Greensboro Aquatics Center in Greensboro, N.C.
