Dominant Debut Earns Wellesley's Park NEWMAC Swimmer of the Week Award

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College first year Elizabeth Park (Dix Hills, N.Y.) has been named the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Swimmer of the Week for the week ending November 3, 2019.

Park was outstanding in her collegiate debut for the Blue, a 165-129 dual meet victory over Wheaton. The Wellesley first year earned three individuals victories while helping the Blue to first place in the 200 Medley Relay. After Park and the Blue opened the day with a winning time of 1:50.51 in the 200 Medley Relay, Park went on to take first in the 100 and 200 Yard Breaststroke and the 200 IM. Park finished in 1:07:87 to win the 100 Breast and posted a time of 2:26.88 to take the 200. In the 200 IM, Park touched the wall first in 2:13.42.

Wellesley Swimming & diving will take on Simmons in dual meet on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 PM.
