Basketball, Swimming & Diving to Host Earn The W Day "Beach Party"; Blue Crew NCAA Championship Banner Ceremony on Saturday, January 28th

Welcome back, Blue Nation! It's cold outside but to celebrate the start of the semester, Wellesley Athletics will be throwing a "Keohane Sports Center (KSC) Beach Party" for our next Earn the W Day on Saturday, January 28, 2023!

The event begins at 10:30 AM at the KSC, where members of the Wellesley Athlete Mentor Program (AMP) will have giveaways for all fans in the KSC front lobby, including Wellesley Blue sunglasses and snow cones (while supplies last) at both the Blue swimming & diving and basketball contests.

Swimming & Diving vs Merrimack | 11:00 AM | Chandler Swimming Pool (KSC Second Floor)

  • Prior to the meet: Class of 2023 Senior Day (approx. 10:45 AM)

Basketball vs MIT | 1:00 PM | Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse (KSC First Floor)

  • Halftime: Blue Crew 2022 NCAA Championship Banner Ceremony


Prior to the swimming & diving home meet vs. Merrimack, the Blue will also celebrate senior day at approximately 10:45 AM. In addition, at halftime of the basketball game vs. MIT, Wellesley Athletics will recognize 2022 NCAA Division III National Champion Wellesley Crew with a special banner unveiling ceremony in Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse.

Wellesley College crew captured the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship last spring, the program's second and the first since 2016. The Blue finished in second in both the Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ Grand Finals to place first in the team standings with 51 points.
