Lee Named NEWMAC Tennis Player of the Week

WELLESLEY, Mass. -- Wellesley College's Sojung Lee was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week for the period ending October 5.

Lee helped rally the Blue to a pair of victories on the week. Lee teamed with Carina Chen to top Wheaton's top doubles pairing before (8-0, 8-0) defeating Alexandra Marlowe (6-4, 6-4) in number one singles as part of a 9-0 Blue sweep of the Lyons on Friday. A day later, Lee completed a comeback win over Babson, defeating Alex Freeman 7-6(5) and 6-4 to give the Blue a 5-4 victory.

Wellesley Tennis will return to action tomorrow night when they take on Emerson College in NEWMAC play beginning at 4:00 PM.
