Blue Tennis Jumps to No. 24 in ITA National Rankings

WELLESLEY, Mass. --Wellesley College tennis jumped four spots to No. 24 in the latest ITA Division III Women's National Rankings. The Blue finished the fall season as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season runner-up, advancing to the NEWMAC semifinals after going 8-3 overall and 7-1 in conference play.

Wellesley also moved to No. 10 in the Northeast Regional rankings while the doubles team of Sojung Lee and Carina Chen are currently ranked No. 13 in the region. In addition, Andjela Stojkovic and Caroline Hsu are tied for No. 15 in the regional rankings. Lee is also ranked 24 in the Northeast Region singles rankings. 

As a duo, Lee and Chen went 6-3 in dual match competitions during the fall regular season while Stojkovic and Hsu went 8-1 and 7-0 in the NEWMAC. Lee finished the season at 5-3 overall and 5-2 at number one singles in the NEWMAC.

Wellesley Tennis will return to action in the spring, hosting both the annual Nor'Easter Bowl and the annual Seven Sisters Championship in March.
